What Is a Private Miyajima and Peace Park Tour in Hiroshima Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
I had the pleasure of guiding a group visiting from Europe. At the beginning of the tour, I shared a lighthearted story from my high school days about being caught cycling on a motorway, which helped us start off in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. On the way to Miyajima, our train was stopped for about 20 minutes because an emergency button at a railway crossing had been pressed, but the guests were very understanding, remarking that such things also happen in Europe, and responded calmly. The morning rain cleared before noon, allowing us to explore both Miyajima and the Peace Memorial Park at a relaxed pace, and the tour went smoothly overall.

Originally, I’m a cycling guide doing cycling tours all over Japan.
But, already done Hiroshima & Miyajima tour more than 400 times.
I traveled many countries in my younger days. I traveled Europe, US, China, India, US, Mexico, Peru Australia, NZ, and so on.
I decided to use this experience to become a guide.
I’m afraid but no tipping required, because cycling guides are not allowed to have tipping in my association. And you do not need to pay for my lunch, because my lunch is prepared by our group.

My wife & I spent a fabulous day with Yuji visiting Miyajima & Hiroshima.. From his greeting to us on our arrival at Hiroshima station to saying good-bye at the same location 8 hours later, he gave us wonderful perspectives of both locations as well as sharing his knowledge of the sights we saw.

Incredible Experience
We had an incredible experience visiting Hiroshima and Miyajima for the first time. Our tour guide, Yuji, made the experience one we will never forget. From start to finish the trip was thoroughly enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable explaining meaning, symbolism, answering questions and went above and beyond to give us the best experience. Yuji really tailored the tour to things we found interesting and made transport with trains and the ferry very easy to navigate- as we did a day trip from Osaka. My husband and I were very fortunate to have Yuji as our guide. Highly recommend this private tour if you are considering Hiroshima and Miyajima!
