Tour Itinerary
- 10:00 Meet at the Shinkansen platform of JR Hiroshima Station
- 10:30-10:50 Travel to Peace Park by JR Bus Chugoku Meipuru-pu
- 11:00-12:00 Visit the Peace Memorial Museum
- 12:00-12:45 Tour the memorial monuments in Peace Park
- 13:00-14:00 Lunch at Okonomiyaki Mitchan Orizuru Tower branch
- 14:30-15:15 Travel from Peace Park to Miyajima via the Hiroshima World Heritage Sea Route
- 15:30-16:15 Visit Itsukushima Shrine
- 16:15-17:00 Chat at Miyajima Brewery in the Omotesando Shopping Street
- 17:15-17:30
- Guide the guests to their hotel
- (Because it's located in a place with strict security that's difficult to reach without a guide's help.)
- At the same time, also guide them to the location of the dinner restaurant.
- 17:00-18:00
- Take photos, which was the guests' dream, of the beautiful scene against the backdrop of the sunset and the Miyajima Great Torii Gate.
What Is a Private Walking Tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
It was a beautiful, sunny day, perfect for a walking tour. We moved smoothly from the platform meeting point to the Peace Park and then to Miyajima, and the guests were very appreciative. The guests were excited to see so many deer on Miyajima. I think the exhibits at the Peace Memorial Museum were difficult for some of the younger members of the group. In fact, one of them looked distressed and said they could not look anymore, so I gently told them it was fine not to see it and stayed close to offer comfort. The guests were happy to enjoy okonomiyaki, a beloved local specialty of Hiroshima. At the Miyajima brewery we had a good conversation that touched on topics such as peace and Japanese culture. The guests thanked me again, saying they had spent a truly wonderful day, which made me very glad.

If you’d like to visit the eastern part of Hiroshima like Onomichi and Tomonoura, it’s also a good choice!
It’s really a mild climate here in Hiroshima becuase Seto Inland Sea is here.
Hiroshima is famous for the oysters, lemon sweets and Okonomiyaki!!
Okonomiyaki is Hirosima’s specialty pancake which formation is like the lasagna with special sauce on top!

We had an excellent tour with Hiro. She was fantastic with the kids and gave us an amazing experience. She went above and beyond by arranging a lunch reservation amd a taxi back to the station for us. She was incredible, showing us through the Hiroshima Peace museum and answering lots of difficult questions from the kids. All over, an excellent experience.

Hiro is an absolutely phenomenal guide and I cannot recommend her highly enough! I was initially worried about our ambitious itinerary for the day, but with Hiro’s excellent organization, everything went off without a hitch.
Why we loved our day with Hiro:
* Communication: She was punctual, extremely organized, and messaged us often. She is incredibly easy to communicate with and thoughtful in her planning. She picked us up at the train and it was seamless from start to finish.
* Above & Beyond Care: What truly set Hiro apart was her genuine care for our family. At the Hiroshima Memorial, some of the imagery was a bit much for our daughter; Hiro noticed immediately and acted quickly to bring her ahead and comfort her.
* Stress-Free Logistics: She handled everything! She reserved both lunch and dinner for us and provided excellent local recommendations. She made sure the entire day was absolutely stress-free for our large group.
