Title: What Is a Private Hiroshima Tour Like for a Family Visiting from Asia? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were a group visiting from Asia, who had arrived at Fukuoka Airport the day before and planned to tour only Fukuoka and Hiroshima. Some of the guests had previously visited Hokkaido, Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto, but for others it was their first time in Japan. The group shared that they always wanted the younger members to experience the different cultures and histories of various countries from an early age, and since one of them had just begun studying world history, they were especially eager to show them Hiroshima. At the Peace Memorial Museum, some of the guests put on the audio guides and looked around carefully. After the museum, we visited Hiroshima Castle, where everyone enthusiastically viewed the exhibits and asked many questions. They also happily took photos wearing a samurai helmet. Since Hiroshima Castle has five floors accessible only by stairs, some of the guests rested along the way as they toured.

One of the guests had a great sense of humor, and upon meeting at Hiroshima Station immediately said that sightseeing on an empty stomach would be impossible and that they wanted to eat Hiroshima okonomiyaki as soon as possible. So we moved the schedule up slightly and entered an okonomiyaki restaurant near Peace Memorial Park at 11:00, and everyone enjoyed the meal.

The group were very fond of Japan, and some of the guests mentioned that they always watch NHK on television. They kindly invited me to visit their home country as well.
