- 10:00 Meeting at the entrance of their hotel
- 10:55 Arriving at Miyajima Island
- 11:00 Visiting the Shrine and shopping
- 12:50 Eating buckwheat noodles for lunch
- 15:00 taking a bus to the Museum
- 15:25 Visiting the Museum after the explanation
- 17:40 Starting the monument tour, including the A-bomb Dome, the hypocenter.
- 18:20 Showing the bus stop to their hotel and the restaurant for their dinner.
- 18:30 Goodbye
What Is a Private Hiroshima Peace Memorial Tour Like for Families? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a very enthusiastic and sensitive group who loved history. One of them asked, "Why did Japan attack Pearl Harbor? In North America we are taught that the atomic bomb ended the war more quickly, but…" Another became so moved after seeing the damage caused by the atomic bomb that they were left speechless. I said, "This all happened because of war, so let's work toward a world without war in the future." As we said goodbye, I told them, "Please come back to the Peace Memorial Museum someday. Next time you may come away with different impressions." The guests were a group visiting from North America, and I was glad that they felt a sense of closeness toward me from the very start, even though I had arrived late.

Hiroshima Tour with Yoshi
Yoshi was truly one of the highlights of our entire trip. From the very beginning, she went above and beyond—meeting us at the station and making everything feel effortless and perfectly organized.
She is incredibly knowledgeable, especially about Hiroshima’s history. What made the experience even more special is that her perspective comes from someone who was born and raised there. Hearing the stories, details, and context directly from her added a level of depth and authenticity that you simply cannot get otherwise.
Beyond her knowledge, Yoshi is just a beautiful human being—kind, warm, and genuinely caring. Spending the day with her felt like a hug to the heart. She made us feel comfortable, cared for, and fully present in such a meaningful place.
She guided us through every site with perfect timing and intention, making sure we experienced everything without ever feeling rushed.
If you are visiting Hiroshima, I cannot recommend Yoshi enough. Seeing the city through her eyes is something truly unforgettable.
