Tour Itinerary
- 10:00 Meet at the Hiroshima Station Shinkansen platform, self-introduction and brief meeting
- 10:15 Depart Hiroshima Station by JR + JR Ferry
- 11:05 Arrive at Miyajima Itsukushima Shrine, Miyajima Exchange Center, stroll along the approach
- 12:55 Depart Miyajima JR Ferry
- 13:05 Arrive at Miyajimaguchi Okonomiyaki lunch at Chinchikurin Miyajimaguchi branch
- 14:20 Depart Miyajimaguchi JR + Taxi (transfer at JR Nishi-Hiroshima Station)
- 15:00 Arrive at Peace Memorial Museum Tour the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum
- 16:00 Stroll through Peace Park Including making paper cranes at the Rest House
- 17:20 Depart from Atomic Bomb Dome To Hiroshima Station by Hiroden
- 18:00 Tour ends at the Midori-no-Madoguchi at Hiroshima Station
What Is a Private Family Osaka Food Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a very cheerful group who showed great interest in many things. The tour proceeded smoothly without any major issues, and the guests were pleased to say it was a very well-structured tour. At the okonomiyaki restaurant for lunch, a large group happened to be dining there, so the guests had to wait about 10 minutes, but they greatly enjoyed the experience, including eating the okonomiyaki straight off the griddle with a spatula. Some of the guests made paper cranes by folding origami, and the rest of the group watched happily as they did so.

Hi, I am a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter. My name is Shinya Tanaka, but you can call me Woody because I run my own company which makes products made of wood. So, I can introduce Japan’s various wooden culture from toys to castles.
I like beer, watching sports, jogging and cooking.
I was born and raised in Hiroshima City. Hiroshima has 2 major tourists’ destinations, Itsukushima shrine and the Atomic Bomb Dome. Even so, there are many other wonderful spots here in Hiroshima.
As a tour guide and a Hiroshima citizen, I will be able to share a great time with you here.

We had such a wonderful full day of touring Miyajima and Hiroshima. Our guide, Shinya Tanaka (Woody) communicated with us before the tour and had a wonderful thorough laid out plan including Okonomiyaki for lunch. Woody was friendly, knowledgeable and organized. We could tell he loved being a tour guide and he was passionate about his hometown telling us about the impact the bombing had on his life. Woody also made origami cranes with our 3 kids ages 16, 14, 10 to dedicate to the children’s monument. It was such a special day that we will never forget.
