- 1. 9:30 Meeting at their hotel
- 2. 9:45 taking the train and a ferry to Miyajima island
- 3.10:40 Visiting Itsukushima Shrine, Daiganji-Temple
- 4.12:20 taking a ferry and a streetcar to Kamiyacho
- 5.13:40 having lunch at Sanuki Noodle Restaurant
- 6.14:10 visiting the hypocenter, the A-bomb Dome, other monuments and the Museum
- 4.16:35 Goodbye in front of Hiroshima station
What Is a Private Miyajima and Hiroshima Peace Park Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a group visiting from Oceania and a group visiting from North America. At Miyajima, I explained the difference between temples and shrines, as well as the guardian lion-dogs and the Nio guardian statues standing at the gate in front of the temple. They also asked about Shinto and Buddhism, so I explained those as well. The area was overflowing with tourists, but I believe they enjoyed themselves fully. They mentioned that they liked udon, so they were delighted to try Sanuki udon. At the Peace Park, they had many questions, such as how atomic bomb survivors feel about people from North America, the difference between plutonium and uranium bombs, the number and ages of survivors still living in Hiroshima, and how long reconstruction took. They seemed satisfied with my explanations, which was gratifying. One of the guests had very clear and easy-to-understand pronunciation. We had a pleasant time together.

Hiroshima Tour with Yoshi
Yoshi was truly one of the highlights of our entire trip. From the very beginning, she went above and beyond—meeting us at the station and making everything feel effortless and perfectly organized.
She is incredibly knowledgeable, especially about Hiroshima’s history. What made the experience even more special is that her perspective comes from someone who was born and raised there. Hearing the stories, details, and context directly from her added a level of depth and authenticity that you simply cannot get otherwise.
Beyond her knowledge, Yoshi is just a beautiful human being—kind, warm, and genuinely caring. Spending the day with her felt like a hug to the heart. She made us feel comfortable, cared for, and fully present in such a meaningful place.
She guided us through every site with perfect timing and intention, making sure we experienced everything without ever feeling rushed.
If you are visiting Hiroshima, I cannot recommend Yoshi enough. Seeing the city through her eyes is something truly unforgettable.
