Guide Report: A Private Hiroshima Tour Starting a Japan Trip — What Is It Like With a Licensed Guide?

The guests were visitors from North America. Many guests start their journey in Tokyo and travel south, so Hiroshima often falls near the end of their trip, but this time Hiroshima was the first day of sightseeing, so everything felt fresh, and they said they were happy that a guide could add a story to their travels. Because they had arrived in Hiroshima late the previous night and were likely still dealing with jet lag, there were moments during transit and while watching the testimony videos of atomic bomb survivors when they appeared sleepy. I spoke carefully about the story of the atomic bomb, and it was wonderful that there was mutual understanding and empathy.
