Title: What Is a Private Miyajima and Hiroshima Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
I guided a group visiting from Asia. At Miyajima, I showed them excellent photo spots, and they were very pleased.
We went to a restaurant that serves okonomiyaki suited to their preferences. The guests were very fond of the okonomiyaki and ordered additional servings. As a result, lunch took longer than planned, which shortened the time available for the memorial museum and the tour of the monuments. To make up for this, I gave the explanation that I normally provide before entering the main building while we were on the train. Thanks to this, I managed to secure enough time for the museum and the monument tour.
The guests wanted to share one okonomiyaki among the group, but I was privately concerned that it might not be enough. As I suspected, they placed additional orders, and lunch ran long.
I had explained the portion size of okonomiyaki beforehand by showing an actual example, but on reflection, I feel I should have explained the portion size in a little more detail.
