From there the group visited travel by JR at 9:30, travel by ferry at 10:00, Miyajima/Itsukushima Shrine and lunch at 10:20, travel by World Heritage Sea Route at 13:10, Peace Park/Peace Memorial Museum at 13:50 and travel by bus at 16:00.
Travel between the sites was by public transport: Hiroshima Station to Miyajimaguchi Station by train (420JPY); Miyajima to Peace Park (1,100JPY); Peace Memorial Museum to Hiroshima Station by bus (220JPY). Across 3 sections the fare came to 1,740JPY per person.

The guests were a group visiting from North America. We made a reservation at an okonomiyaki restaurant on the way to Itsukushima Shrine, and when we returned at the reserved time, the teppan grill had been set up as usual, and the guests enjoyed watching the cooking process. At the Peace Memorial Park, we also stopped by the memorial dedicated to the Korean victims of the atomic bomb and talked about many things. As the guests had grown up in North America and had no relatives to visit in Japan or elsewhere, when the conversation turned to the war they naturally spoke from their own perspective, which made it challenging at times to know how best to discuss the topic. During the journey, since we were all fans of Korean dramas, the conversation was lively as we talked about our favorite dramas and actors.

Our guide for this tour was Tomoyo- to say she was wonderful is an understatement! She picked us up right at the train station and helped us navigate all that Hiroshima has to offer- providing education on World War II, while also showing us how beautiful the city is in its own right. We really enjoyed the Peace Museum and Hiroshima Castle. Highly recommend!
