Tour Itinerary
- 9:30 Meet at the 3rd floor front desk of Hotel Monterey
- 10:00 Arrive at Koko-en Garden, stroll around
- 12:00 Transfer buses at Himeji Station and move to Nadagiku Sake Brewery for a tour
- 13:14 Return to Sanyo Himeji Station by Sanyo Electric Railway
- 13:30 Disband in front of Sanyo Himeji Station
Title: What's a Private Himeji Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Himeji Castle, Koko-en Garden, and a Sake Brewery
The guests were visitors from North America who were attending a conference held in Himeji and Osaka. Before the tour, it was difficult to reach the guests, and we were unable to discuss the route in advance, so the tour began without a set plan. For this reason, I had prepared to visit Himeji Castle and Koko-en Garden, but since the guests had already toured Himeji Castle the previous day with others, I had to reconsider where to guide them. So I gave them a more detailed tour of the area around Himeji Castle and then headed to Koko-en Garden. Inside the garden, the spring flowers were beginning to bloom, and the guests enjoyed the stroll even more than I had expected. Afterward, we took a bus to the Nadagiku sake brewery, where they enjoyed a brewery tour and a tasting. They were also very pleased to be able to ride the local bus and train, which was wonderful.

She took the time to highlight intricate details about Himeji Castle—details that we would have likely missed on our own. Excellent tour avec une guide compétente et dynamique. Le château et le parc sont
magnifiques. Seule précaution : il y beaucoup de marches avec des escaliers raides , il faut
être dans une forme raisonnable.

ひとつ注意点を挙げるとすれば、急な階段が多く、かなりの段数を上り下りするため、ある程度の体力が必要です。

Rie is a terrific guide! She worked diligently with us as we planned our day in Himeji, and ensured we could fully enjoy ourselves as we spent the day with her. She brings a very warm, friendly and informative spirit to her work, and she was sensitive to our limitations on climbing the steep castle stairs, although she is quite capable herself in scaling various sites. Rie also has a nice sense of humor, which is so helpful when one spends a full day with a guide. As a bonus, Rie showed us her many favorite photo spots. We strongly recommend Rie, as she is one of the best guides we have worked with in our global travels. Thank you for a memorable day!
