What Is a Private Nagoya Castle Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a group visiting from Oceania, and we enjoyed a lively conversation on a variety of topics, so much so that our time was up before we knew it. We navigated the Saturday crowds smoothly as we went around, and the guests listened attentively to my explanations. Since they had enjoyed a samurai experience in Kyoto, I believe they were able to appreciate the castle by connecting it with that experience. The weather was nearly perfect and they took many photos. On the way back, as they were looking for a good place to eat, I guided them to a Japanese restaurant on a shopping street, and we said a reluctant goodbye.

Our guide Chiyuki was the best part of the trip. Super earnest, so generous with her knowledge of the history and culture. The tour had a lot to cover, from the sake making area to the Kobe Herb Garden Ropeway on the opposite side of the city, all in one afternoon. Miles to cover but never once did we feel rushed. We had lovely conversations along the way and tons of pictures to take home. Last but not least, when we requested for her recommendations of Kobe beef places, she pointed us to a top notch Kobe Beef Teppanyaki option – while prudently ensuring it was a value for money experience. You are the best Chiyuki – grateful for your hospitality and gracious hosting.

After getting off to a rocky start our guide was wonderful! She took us to the Herb Gardens
which was fabulous and the for a Kibe beef lunch, then toured Chinatown and did some
