What Is a Private Himeji Castle Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

Today's guests were a group visiting Japan from North America. When the guide arrived at the meeting point before the scheduled time, the guests were already there. They had been staying at a hotel near the station, so we were able to start the tour a little earlier than planned.

After meeting, we visited Castle View, then Himeji Castle (the Nishinomaru Hyakken Corridor and the Main Keep). After a short break at the Otemon Chaya teahouse, we continued to Koko-en Garden and Egret Himeji (the rooftop), ending the tour on the rooftop of Egret Himeji.

Today was the Sunday of the second day of the "Himeji Yukata Festival," so both Himeji Castle and Koko-en Garden were crowded with tourists. Even so, since the guests had digital tickets, sightseeing went smoothly. Himeji Castle seen from the rooftop of Egret Himeji was also magnificent, and the guests were very pleased.
