Title: What's a Private Himeji Castle Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Himeji Castle and Koko-en Garden

Today's guests were a group visiting Japan for the first time from Oceania. Getting everyone together was quite a challenge today. The guests were not using a messaging app, so we exchanged all information by email.

The tour was scheduled to start at 10:00. While the guide was waiting at Himeji Station, an email arrived saying, "We will arrive at Himeji Station at 9:54 on a train from Osaka." Judging from the arrival time, it seemed they were on a rapid service train rather than the Shinkansen. However, well past 10:00 they still had not appeared (at this point I contacted [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/)).

After exchanging messages several times with the guests, they said, "We have just departed from Higashi-Himeji Station." It turned out they were on a local train rather than the rapid service. When we finally met, they said they had boarded the wrong train. The rapid train from Osaka becomes a local train after Akashi Station. This switch is really too difficult for travelers from overseas.

After we successfully met up, we visited the Castle View spot and Himeji Castle, and finished the tour at Koko-en Garden. Today was once again extremely hot. I gave the explanations about Himeji Castle mainly in shaded areas, took breaks as needed, and we went around slowly. At Koko-en Garden the guests said, "We will sightsee on our own from here," so we concluded the tour there. The guests kindly thanked me.
