Tour Itinerary in Detail
This private tour of Hyogo began at 9:20, when the guide met the guests at Himeji Station North Exit, and finished at 13:20. The day ran to 4 hours from start to finish.
From there the group visited Himeji Castle viewing at 10:00 and Stroll through Kokoen Garden at 12:30.
What Is a Private Himeji Castle and Koko-en Garden Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a group visiting Himeji. We met about 10 minutes ahead of schedule and walked together toward Himeji Castle.
Along the way, the guests asked many questions about the castle and about Himeji, and even took photos of the manhole covers, which kept the conversation lively.
I had heard beforehand that they were interested in history and castles, so they listened attentively to my explanations. As they were also interested in plants and flowers, they explored Koko-en Garden with great interest. The tour finished right around lunchtime, and since they wanted to eat noodles, I took them to a udon restaurant before we parted ways.
Just before the tour, I received a message asking to move the meeting time one hour earlier, so we started ahead of the original schedule. It began to rain right as the tour ended, and we laughed together, saying it was fortunate that we had started earlier, before saying goodbye.

Excellent tour avec une guide compétente et dynamique. Le château et le parc sont
magnifiques. Seule précaution : il y beaucoup de marches avec des escaliers raides , il faut
être dans une forme raisonnable.

ひとつ注意点を挙げるとすれば、急な階段が多く、かなりの段数を上り下りするため、ある程度の体力が必要です。

Rie is a terrific guide! She worked diligently with us as we planned our day in Himeji, and ensured we could fully enjoy ourselves as we spent the day with her. She brings a very warm, friendly and informative spirit to her work, and she was sensitive to our limitations on climbing the steep castle stairs, although she is quite capable herself in scaling various sites. Rie also has a nice sense of humor, which is so helpful when one spends a full day with a guide. As a bonus, Rie showed us her many favorite photo spots. We strongly recommend Rie, as she is one of the best guides we have worked with in our global travels. Thank you for a memorable day!
