- 10:30 Arrive at Himeji Castle Ticket Gate, tour inside the castle
- 12:50 Arrive at Koko-en Garden, stroll around
- 13:30 Leave Koko-en Garden and stroll along the souvenir street
- 13:50 Disband at Himeji Castle Otemae Street
What Is a Private Himeji Castle Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a group from North America who first visited another region in Japan where they had relatives before coming to Osaka. Before their trip, they had done a lot of research and read various books. They brought a large, impressive camera, and before heading to the entrance of Himeji Castle, I introduced them to a spot near the zoo where they could take a photo just like the one on the postcards. The guests were interested in Japanese history and had long wanted to visit Japan, so even though Himeji Castle was crowded, we walked through it slowly while talking about its history and architecture.
Afterward, we visited Koko-en Garden and strolled around. Since we left Koko-en a little early, we finished by going to the popular bakery "Lamp," where the guests bought some bread, and then we parted ways.
Contrary to the weather forecast it was cloudy, but we did not run into any rain, which was fortunate.

magnifiques. Seule précaution : il y beaucoup de marches avec des escaliers raides , il faut

Rie is a terrific guide! She worked diligently with us as we planned our day in Himeji, and ensured we could fully enjoy ourselves as we spent the day with her. She brings a very warm, friendly and informative spirit to her work, and she was sensitive to our limitations on climbing the steep castle stairs, although she is quite capable herself in scaling various sites. Rie also has a nice sense of humor, which is so helpful when one spends a full day with a guide. As a bonus, Rie showed us her many favorite photo spots. We strongly recommend Rie, as she is one of the best guides we have worked with in our global travels. Thank you for a memorable day!
