Tour Itinerary
- 12:00 Hotel NAZUNA lobby meet. 12:30 From in front of the hotel, take the Izuhakone bus to Sounzan, arriving at 12:45. Take the ropeway to Owakudani. 13:45 Take the ropeway to Togendai. 14:30 Pirate ship. 14:55 Arrive at Hakonemachi Port. Maruyama Bussan, Donburi Chaya (lunch). Hakone Checkpoint Ruins entrance. Afterwards, 16:45 bus from Hakonemachi Port. 17:30 Disband at the bus stop in front of the hotel. Guests walk to the hotel on foot.
What Is a Private Hakone Day Tour Like from Tokyo? A Licensed Guide's Report
[Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide led a warm and pleasant private one-day tour of Hakone for the guests, who reside in North America. Their visit to Hakone fell on the day before their return home. I made a celebration board and, after taking a commemorative photo, we headed to Owakudani, where Mount Fuji was not visible, but the guests happily enjoyed the black eggs. On the pirate ship, the scenery was shrouded in mist over the water, yet the guests took many photographs. When I introduced a puzzle box, the guests were already familiar with it, and they attentively watched a presentation at Maruyama Bussan and made many purchases. On top of that, one of the guests performed magic for all the staff, and everyone cheered with great delight. After a meal at Donburi Chaya, magic was performed there as well, and everyone was amazed. Rather than us providing entertainment, the guests kindly entertained everyone for free.

Hiro-san knows Hakone!
Our guide, Hiro-san, did a wonderful job introducing us to the area of Hakone – leading us on a great tour of several requested destinations. We were lucky to see Mt. Fuji at the top of the ropeway, had a fun ride on a pirate ship on Lake Ashi, enjoyed a fantastic lunch at a local restaurant, and picked up some great souvenirs at a puzzle-box store which have wowed our family and friends. One of the great things that Hiro did throughout the day was to educate and amuse us with numerous pictures, stories, and lessons from his backpack. It felt like Hiro-san was part of our family that day and we can’t imagine having tried to experience Hakone’s great sites without him.

Great Day and Tour
Kamakura was amazing. Enjoyed visiting the beautiful gardens and shrines. Hiro was a great guide. Having him guide us made the day stress free and much more enjoyable. It was interesting learning about Japan and the culture. I would definitely recommend this tour and visiting Kamakura.
