Title: What Is a Private Day Tour of Hakone Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Lake Ashi and Owakudani

The guests were a relaxed and friendly group. Getting away from the bustle of Tokyo, they seemed to relax in scenery that reminded them of a familiar landscape from home. To everyone's delight, Mount Fuji even revealed itself, which was a rare treat for me as well, and the guests were very pleased. On the pirate ship, some of the guests enjoyed the lush natural scenery from the top deck. One of the guests preferred to avoid stairs as much as possible, so we viewed Hakone Shrine only from a distance. Instead, we visited a local goods shop, where the group was impressed by a presentation on marquetry woodwork and purchased a puzzle box as a souvenir. At a restaurant, they happily finished a Japanese meal centered on soba noodles, while I shared stories about kanji characters and topics such as Shinto and Buddhism. A notable stop on the tour was Lake Ashi in Hakone. Lake Ashi is a scenic crater lake formed by a volcanic eruption thousands of years ago, and it is one of the most iconic spots in the Hakone area. On clear days, visitors can enjoy stunning views of Mount Fuji reflected on its waters, and sightseeing pirate ships cruise across the lake, offering a relaxing way to take in the surrounding mountains and forests. The lake is also home to the famous torii gate of Hakone Shrine standing at the water's edge, a popular photo spot that beautifully blends nature and Japanese spiritual tradition.

I am Hiroki Morikawa :Hiro:, English guide living with my wife ,just a hop skip and jump from Hakone, Kamakura, Tokyo and the Mt. Fuji.
I am a friendly grandfather of 4 grandchildren.
I would love to help you enjoy Japan, using my 3 strong points.
First: I am used to dealing with any kind of matters. I have experienced various situations in the 40 years of my working life.
Second: I am good at making a friendly atmosphere between you and local people to help you enjoy Japan. I was raised in western Japan, studied in northern Japan and now live in central Japan. So I know various local cultures and dialects to communicate with a wide variety of people.
Third: I can explain things from a technical point of view.
For example, how the Great Buddha was constructed, because I am a master of engineering graduated from Hokkaido University.
Please enjoy Japan with me. See you soon!!
