Was It Worth a Private Hakone Day Tour on a Cloudy Day? A Licensed Guide's Report

Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy that day, and Owakudani was completely shrouded in fog in the morning, making it impossible to see the surroundings. Although it was a shame that Mount Fuji and the surrounding scenery could not be seen, the guests enjoyed the black eggs they had been looking forward to, and I explained the history of Owakudani, including the nature trail and the Enmei Kosodate Jizo. There had also been a large earthquake in the Kanto region late the previous night, and the guests listened with great interest to stories about recent volcanic activity.

After the pirate ship, we stopped at Hakone Shrine to pay a visit. Since the guests had a strong interest in art, we also stopped by the Treasure Museum, where they enjoyed viewing the illustrated scrolls related to the vendetta of the Soga brothers of Hakone and the sword "Usumidorimaru."

At the Open-Air Museum, the guests enjoyed the fusion of nature and works of art, and with a break at a foot bath along the way, they fully enjoyed a complete tour around the museum.
