What Is a Private Hakone Day Tour Like in Spring? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests had been traveling to various places and were scheduled to return to Tokyo the next day before heading home. They mentioned it was a shame that the cherry blossoms had already finished, but today they were able to make up for it with the magnificent blooms at the azalea garden of the mountain hotel. In Hakone, there were still botan-zakura (peony cherry blossoms) here and there, and the timing for these was also just right. Mount Fuji was not visible, but they showed me a wonderful photo they had taken from the Shinkansen the previous day. They were not at all familiar with the Maruyama yosegi puzzle boxes, but were impressed by the presentation, and since one of the guests works as a mechanical engineer, it was said to make an ideal souvenir, so they purchased one. At the mountain hotel, they enjoyed Japanese cuisine.
