Can You Do a Private Day Trip to Hakone from Tokyo? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from Oceania. The weather was fine, but Mount Fuji stayed hidden from view. Even so, the guests enjoyed the nature of Hakone in a pleasant climate. There was an unexpected incident today. While we were riding the ropeway from Owakudani to Togendai, it stopped due to an electrical system problem, and there was no clear timeline for when service would resume. Luckily, we had just arrived at Ubako Station when it happened, so we were able to get off there and were directed to take a substitute Izuhakone bus to Togendai, which we boarded smoothly and fortunately. Thanks to that, we were able to finish the tour on schedule.

Yuki was awesome. She reached out right after we made our reservation, inquired about our interests and provided a customized itinerary. She guided us to six different venues using public transportation over the course of six hours and was very professional, flexible and informative.
