Title: What Is a Private Hakodate Cruise Day Tour with a Licensed Guide Like? A Guide's Report
The guests were a group visiting from Oceania who arrived by cruise ship. They were longtime friends and formed a warm, cheerful group. The only means of contact was email; I also suggested using a messaging app, but this was not possible for them. The start time was 9:30, but since the ship was scheduled to dock at 7:30, I emailed to say I would be waiting at the port from 8:00, though I received no reply, which left me a little anxious. It was a great help that they came out early and had already purchased six tickets for Goryokaku Tower online in advance. Thanks to this, we were able to go up Goryokaku Tower without any waiting. I had made a lunch reservation in advance, but it overlapped with the dining time of a large tour group, so we ended up waiting quite a while. When cherry blossom season falls on a Sunday, everywhere in Japan gets crowded. We were blessed with fine weather, and the guests enjoyed both Hakodate and the cherry blossoms.
