I am Yumi. I was raised up in Osaka and moved to Kyoto and have lived here for nearly 30 years. I started working as a guide since in 2023. I’ve done about 150 tours so far. I am very much fond of having fun with my guests and helping them. My favorite place in Kyoto is Saga-Arashiyama which is very famous for the Bamboo Forest and Tenryji temple, one of the World Heritage Sites but inner part of the area has also nice places with full of Japanese beauty with less people. My faovorite Japanese sweet is Ichigodaifuku, Mochi stuffed with a fresh strawberry and sweet bean paste. As for my personal information, there are 3 people in my family, my husband, my daughter and I. My husband like fishing, my daughter is a big anime fan. I like cooking and watching videos and movies in my free time. Also my family likes spending time outdoors like camping. We live in northern part of Kyoto city, 20 min from Kyoto St. by Subway. We can see Mt. Hiei from our room windows. There are also a big park called Takaragaike Park where you can enjoy strolling around a pond and also you can often see deer. My daily exercise is walking to the pond, which is so refreshing. I am also a tutor for my neighbors and do some translation work sometimes. I am very much looking forward to meeting you and having fun together here in Japan. See you soon!
