I’m Yumi, the owner/director of Soy Travel Japan. Soy Travel Japan is a Gifu-based tour operator offering unique bespoke trips with/without guides across Japan since 2016. I’m also a national certified professional interpreter and tour guide in Japan.
I was born to travel. Passionate to explore, I’ve travelled all 47 Japanese prefectures, 60 countries and am certainly not done yet. Initially feeling the restrictions of life as a girl growing up in Gifu, I was keen to escape. However in traveling the world I learnt that in fact my hometown of Gifu city and Japan are exceptional and I have been blessed. Thus of course, my passion to show my hometown and Japan off to the world. I also have been working at travel business (major travel agencies & tour escort) for more than 15 year. I was born and live in Gifu-city. I like nature and traveling around the world. I used to live in Gold Coast Australia, Shanghai, Suzhou China and Lucern Switzerland for study and business. Recently I have started my new hobby Bonsai. I enjoy taking caring my beautiful bonsai trees in my garden. During my tour, please call me Yumi. Looking forward to meeting you here in Japan soon!
