Hi! I am Yukiko Tsunoda, a national licensed guide in English. Please call me Yuki,
I love nature, animals and ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement) and enjoy jogging, badminton and taking care of shelter cats in my free time.
My specialties as a guide are Nikko in Tochigi Prefecture and Tokyo, two areas I absolutely love.
I’ve lived near Nikko for years and explored it lots of times, whose wonder never ceases to amaze me. Nikko offers a wonderful combination of stunning nature and historic religious sites, including its UNESCO World Heritage designation. With a history of over 1,200 years rooted in both Shintoism and Buddhism, it’s truly a special destination that reflects the spiritual and cultural heart of Japan. I would love to share the charm of Nikko with you.
My other favorite place to guide is Tokyo, where I grew up and worked as a teacher for many years. Tokyo is not just a vibrant cutting-edge metropolis but also a place where people have lived and cultivated Japanese culture for over 400 years. It offers an incredible variety of attractions to suit every interest of yours.
