There is a saying in Japan “Sukikoso monono jouzu nare”. It means that If you love what you do and are passionate about it, you should become excellent at it.
Like the saying, I fully enjoyed my first career as an engineer for automotive industry 42 years, and after that I am now very much enjoying my second challenge as a tour guide.
My guiding style is characterized by following 3 points.
1. Easy-to-understand guiding that deep dive into the historical and cultural background of each sight.
2. Friendly guiding with full of hospitality and flexibility to make the tour enjoyable and memorable for guests as much as I can.
3. The guiding that will help you deepen your understanding of the reality of modern Japan through the exchange of knowledge based on my many years of experience in global business.
What motivates me most is to hear from my guests that “this is the most memorable tour for us”, that “we are glad to have Yoshi as our guide”, and that “we will ask Yoshi to be our tour guide again when we come back to Japan”.

We had an amazing time with YOSHI!!!! He was absolutely amazing and so patient with a family of 5. He took us to the most unbelievable tea ceremony at the Japanese gardens where we were able to appreciate the history, culture, and respect of the tea ceremony in Japan. He was so nice and knowledgeable and always willing to take out picture. He learned our names and showed us amazing things in HAKONE that we would have never picked up on. Truly recommend this tour, and definitely recommend YOSHI!! Thank you YOSHI, we will cherish our time with you in HAKONE always, we are very appreciative of you. Thank you.
