A perfect afternoon exploring the hidden gems of Takayama
JGA Yoko was a wonderful guide and Takayama is truly a hidden gem of Japan. I fell in love with this place thru seeing the blend of ancient Japan with the modern world today. JGA Yoko was so beautifully articulate as she informed us about the history of the samurai, the incredible parade floats that move thru the city twice a year at the turn of the season, and gorgeous shrines to boot. Not to mention the shops of old town as well. It was a perfect afternoon getting to know the corners of Takayama I’m sure not everyone who visits gets to see. Can’t recommend this tour enough!
