I am a nationally certified travel guide who has lived near Kamakura for over 30 years.
Kamakura is my personal favorite town because visiting its quiet temples soothes my soul.
My original career as an engineer and marketer took me to many countries for business, and I enjoyed the sights and sounds of those countries on weekends. In my experience, that visit was not memorable if there was no conversation at all with the locals.
Based on this experiences, I try to make the tour memorable not only by explaining tourist attractions, but also by talking with guests about various topics of Japan.
I have experience as a tour guide in Tokyo downtown, but I am currently focusing on guiding tours of temples in Kamakura and guiding tours of the Sky Tree structure, making use of my past background in engineering.
My current hobbies are playing tennis and saxophone (I like jazz bigband music from the 60’s).
