Hello! My name is Shigemi, and I’m a very friendly and approachable person, always eager to make new connections and share my love for Japan with others. I have had the privilege of living in Toronto, Canada, in the past, which has given me a unique perspective on both Japanese and Western cultures.
Throughout my career as a guide, I have had the opportunity to show visitors around some of Japan’s most iconic places, including Kyoto, Nara, Tokyo, and my hometown of Shizuoka. Each of these areas has its own special charm, and I always enjoy helping travelers discover the rich history, culture, and hidden gems they may not find in a guidebook.
My goal as a guide is to offer you a unique and memorable experience. I want you to not only visit famous landmarks but also immerse yourself in Japan’s fascinating food, relaxing hot springs, and vibrant festivals.
