Nice to meet you. My name is Seiko Oba, and I am a National Guide Interpreter. Seiko is the same name as the world famous watch brand Seiko. I was born in Fukuoka Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan, grew up in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, and currently live in Nerima Ward, Tokyo. Nerima-ku is famous for being the birthplace of anime. I love anime and occasionally go on anime tours. I also do a lot of sightseeing work in Tokyo.
I am a big fan of the American rock band KISS, through which I started learning guitar, music, and English. I also like Japanese traditional culture and have learned tea ceremony and kimono. I also enjoy visiting castles and public bathhouses throughout Japan.
Japan is a country with many wonderful traditions and history to be proud of, and Japan is a pioneer in many new subcultures and other fields. Through my work as an interpreter guide, I hope to spend time with you and share an enjoyable and interesting Japan with you. I look forward to meeting you.
