Hi, my name is Noriko Nakayama, a tour guide for you.
Please call me Nori, the same pronunciation with nori, black colored edible seaweed covering rice centered with raw tuna, cucumber, or topped with sea urchin, provably you find at Sushi restaurants.
I grew up at Shinjuku ward, in central Tokyo, lived in Baltimore Maryland US for 2 years and have lived for more than 40 years at western part of Tokyo about 20 minutes far from Shinjuku by train with my husband. We have 2 children but they already have grown up and lived on their own.
I’m working as a tour guide for more than 10 years around Tokyo, such as Tokyo city area, FujiHakone area, Nikko area, etc. In the Tokyo city area, there are a lot of sightseeing spots such as Tsukiji, Asakusa, Meiji Shrine, etc. Also, there are so many contemporary buildings designed by not only Japanese architects but also non-Japanese architects. Those buildings will add fun to your Tokyo sightseeing. At FujiHakone area, Mt. Fuji especially capped with snow is amazing on a fine day. At Nikko, you will enjoy the majestic, historical atmosphere of Japan with beautiful nature. I hope you enjoy each spot.
My hobbies are serving and drinking powdered green tea with traditional Japanese sweets, moderate exercise at gym near my house, reading books. And I especially enjoy talking with & listening from others including foreign guests.
