I was born and raised here in Kochi, and I truly love this beautiful region.
In university and graduate school, I studied the local dialects of Kochi. Now I teach English part-time at a tutoring school and a vocational school. I enjoy exploring the differences between English and Japanese, and between Western and Japanese culture, and I often write down fun observations I notice in daily life.
Since February 2025, I have been a certified local English tour guide in Kochi. Starting in March, I’ve been working both with cruise ship passengers and as a private FIT guide. I’ve guided visitors through popular spots such as Kochi Castle, Obiyamachi shopping street, Makino Botanical Garden, and Chikurin-ji Temple.
Recently, I was very happy to receive a five-star review from an FIT guest. I always do my best to listen to each guest’s wishes and to share the charm of Kochi in a meaningful way.
