Greetings! I am a licensed guide in Japan, having obtained my guide license in 2019. Currently, my focus is on providing enriching experiences as a guide across the picturesque islands of the Seto Inland Sea, including Naoshima, Teshima, Inujima, Shodoshima, Megijima and many more. Additionally, I offer guidance at renowned locations such as Ritsurin Garden, Kawashima Takeshi’s Art Factory, Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, Korakuen Garden and more.
In 2022, I had the honor of being a guide for the Setouchi Triennale official tour, showcasing the unique blend of art and culture in the region. Furthermore, I contribute as an instructor on Naoshima, sharing insights and knowledge with eager learners.
My journey extends beyond Japan, as I spent 17 years residing in Los Angeles from 2000 to 2017. During this period, I immersed myself in various roles such as English interpretation, guiding, and conducting interviews in English. I have contributed articles to publications like Asahi Shimbun Newspaper, reported on radio platforms such as FM802, and engaged in corporate research for organizations like NHK.
In recent years, my commitment to deepening knowledge led me to organize study sessions and training workshops for fellow interpreters and guides in Kagawa, with a specific focus on the Kagawa Setouchi Interpreter Guide qualification.
I am passionate about sharing the rich cultural tapestry of the Seto Inland Sea and facilitating meaningful connections with art and history. I look forward to continuing this journey of exploration and education.
