Hello, I am KIYOKO, a tour guide living in Kagoshima, Japan! I have been working as a full-fledged guide for foreign guests since I obtained my national certification as a guide in 2017.
Although I have only been guiding for a short time (during the pandemic for 3 years I could have no job), I will do my best to show you the wonders of my hometown, to let you see and enjoy Kagoshima, and to leave Kagoshima as a wonderful place to visit. I also love to have a good chat with my guests and we can talk about a wide range of topics such as life, culture, and education.
When I was young, I also studied tea ceremony and flower arrangement and had many opportunities to come into contact with Japanese culture. In addition, I love to listen to classical music and appreciate art.
I introduce many attractions of Kagoshima, such as its magnificent nature and scenery, food, and local specialties. Please come and visit Kagoshima. I will be happy to show you around.

We had an exceptional experience with Kiyoko as our tour guide during our trip to Kagoshima! She took us to some of the most beautiful and historically significant spots in the area, including Sengan-en Garden, where she exemplified extended knowledge of garden’s history and its connection to the Shimadzu family. One of the highlights of our trip was the sushi lunch Kiyoko arranged for us. She took us to a local restaurant and made sure we tried a variety of regional specialties.
Throughout the day, Kiyoko was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. She took the time to answer all our questions, and we appreciated her detailed explanations of the history and culture behind each location we visited. Her warm, polite, and welcoming personality made us feel so comfortable, and she went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable experience.
If you're visiting Kagoshima, we can't recommend Kiyoko enough. She showed us the best of the city, and made our time there truly special. Thank you, Kiyoko!
