Hi!
My name is Akemi, but please feel free to call me Kemi. I am a Hiroshima Prefectural Government Licensed Guide Interpreter, and I started guiding in 2024.
I was born and raised in Hiroshima. I truly love Hiroshima. It is a city rich in history and blessed with beautiful nature. There are two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Itsukushima Shrine and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.
If you like wild deer, unique history, and nature, Miyajima Island is a wonderful place to explore. The Peace Memorial Park is a place where you can learn, reflect, and feel the importance of peace.
Hiroshima is also known as the “City of Water,” with six rivers flowing from the mountains into the Seto Inland Sea. The scenery is calm and peaceful.
I have been teaching English to children for over 30 years. I have also supported children’s learning in other countries. As a result, I came to value understanding and peace. These experiences help me connect with people from different countries.
I would love to share the charm of Hiroshima with you.
I am really looking forward to meeting you soon!
