Hello, my name is Hubert. I am a guide who loves Hokkaido’s history, food and culture. I have been a local guide since 2015 and a national guide since 2018. I am familiar with which seafood shops are delicious in Sapporo, Otaru and Hakodate, and where to find unique ramen. I also have a lot of experience guiding about pour-over coffee, which is a characteristic of Hokkaido, local foods that only locals eat, as well as the indigenous Ainu people and industrial heritage. By the way, my hobbies are playing brass instruments (horn and tenor horn), craft beer and organic wine. I look forward to seeing you in the northern part of Japan!

Hubert was a great guide! We could have probably seen Hakodate on our own, but Hubert made it so much better! He loves this area and included good history that we would have missed! We ended at the warehouse and were able to look around at our leisure before a short walk to the ship!
