Chizuru

Hello. I’m Chizuru Tanaka. Please call me Chizuru or Tanaka-san.
I’m a specialist for guiding Himeji Castle in Hyogo Prefecture in English. I’ve made about 800 English guided tours of Himeji Castle since 2013.
I was born and raised in Himeji, so I saw Himeji Castle every day as a symbol of my city when I was a child. Now I live in Kakogawa City next to Himeji City.
I’m very proud of Himeji Castle and It’s my pleasure to show visitors from overseas around Himeji Castle.
In Himeji there is a precious temple called “Engyoji Temple “ , where you can experience ‘Zazen’ ,sitting meditation or ‘shakyo’, hand-copying sutras as well as enjoy the sacred atmosphere.
Of course, there are more attractions in Hyogo Prefecture.
