Aki

Hi! I am Akiko. Just call me Aki.

I was born and raised in Shibuya, and currently I live in Setagaya, Tokyo. I love to explore Tokyo with you, and I’d like to share its history and lifestyle from a local’s perspective. I also have lived and raised children in Sweden, the Philippines, and the United States.

I love traveling, driving, shopping, exploring the town. I’m a music lover, bread baker, tote bag collector.

I speak English. I have a national certified guide-interpreter license and am good at walking tours in Tokyo. For the first timers, I will share how to navigate in the city and guide you to Tokyo’s highlight destinations. For repeaters, I can customize unique itinerary based on your wishes and interests. How about visiting local temples and shrines in Setagaya, unique designer toilets in Shibuya, or seasonal local festivals?

Since I have experiences raising children and traveling with my children overseas, I have a good understanding of the needs of families visiting Japan with their children. Also, since I am a senior/grandma myself, I am able to carry out the tour with considerations family-friendly and senior-friendly.
