What Is a Private One-Day Tour of Fukuoka Like? A Guide's Report on Nanzoin and Canal City Hakata
The guests were a group living in Europe. The language they used was one European language. It was their first trip to Japan, but since they had only one day here, they mentioned that if they liked Japan, they would plan a proper trip to the country in the future. Their journey lasted several weeks and was centered mainly on travel elsewhere in Asia. They wanted to experience both traditional and modern Japan, and since they also wanted to enjoy shopping, they requested Nanzoin Temple and Canal City Hakata. For lunch, we had tonkotsu ramen. One of the guests was very good at English and interpreted for the group. This tour was planned and arranged by one of the guests, who was very curious and enthusiastic. At Canal City, they also enjoyed the fountain show.

Two of us from an NCL cruise had a day sightseeing in Fukuoka with Sasuke. The highlight for us was the lying down Buddha which is quite away from the port and meant we got to ride a train and saw some of the lovely countryside. We also got to try delicious Ramen which turned out to be the best Ramen we experienced during our time in Japan. We enjoyed Sasuke’s company and her extensive knowledge. She met us promptly off the ship and returned us on time.

Our tour was 6 hours but I was unable to find it on the listing.
Sasuke was a wonderful guide taking us to the Fukuoka Tower and then Nanzoin Temple.
The pace was good and Sasuke kept at our pace, allowing lifts to be used when necessary.
We had beautiful views of Fukuoka and Nanzoin Temple was stunning with the 41 metre long reclining Buddha being a highlight.
I would highly recommend Sasuke as a guide when in Fukuoka.
