What Is a Private Guided Tour of Fukuoka's Shrines and Temples Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

Since the guests wanted to spend more time at shrines and temples, we discussed it and decided to skip the bronze bell at the Kyushu National Museum. The guests asked very eager questions about the meaning of the etiquette at shrines. They also listened attentively to explanations about the history of Kanzeonji Temple and the influences of the Mongol invasions and the Warring States period. The guests thoroughly enjoyed umegae-mochi and ramen at a local restaurant. At Shofukuji Temple they showed great interest in the features of Zen Buddhist temples, and they were amazed by the decorative float at Kushida Shrine and the oiyama race at Kawabata shopping street. At a department store food hall in Tenjin, they purchased four cans of Yame matcha. They were also very pleased when I introduced a seafood restaurant for dinner and an udon shop for the following days.
