タイトル What Is a Private Asakusa Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

本文 The guests were visiting from Oceania, and this was their first day of sightseeing after arriving in Japan. The weather had been unstable, which was a concern, but fortunately the rain had stopped by the time we met. However, with muggy heat and high humidity, the conditions were far from comfortable for a walking tour. Even so, we made our way smoothly through the main sights of Asakusa while enjoying pleasant conversation with the guests.

The guests had been very much looking forward to the traditional ozashiki entertainment experience, and they were delighted when they actually took part in it. At first they hesitated to join the Konpira Fune Fune game, but when I actively encouraged them, they joined in and seemed to have a wonderful time.

On the way back, since it started to rain, I hailed a taxi for them and asked the driver to take them safely back to their Hotel, and we said our goodbyes. A notable stop on the tour was Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa. Senso-ji is Tokyo's oldest temple, founded in the 7th century, and it remains one of the city's most visited landmarks. Visitors approach the main hall through the iconic Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate) and walk along Nakamise-dori, a lively shopping street lined with stalls selling traditional snacks and souvenirs. The temple's history, architecture, and vibrant atmosphere make it an ideal place to introduce guests to Japanese culture and tradition.
