Hello, my name is Yoko Tateno.
I am a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter. Originally born in Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture, I am currently based in Fukuoka City.
I cultivated a deep spirit of hospitality during my career at luxury hotels across Asian countries—including Malaysia, the Maldives, and Thailand—as well as in Australia. After returning to Japan, I dedicated myself to inbound tourism, sharing Japan’s rich heritage with international guests.
I specialize in introducing Japanese history, traditional culture, Shinto shrines, Buddhist temples, historic castles, and our world-class food culture.
[Important Note regarding Pick-up Services]
To ensure a seamless and punctual start to your journey, my meet-and-greet/pickup services are available exclusively within Fukuoka City, including:
Fukuoka City Hotels
Hakata Station
Hakata Port
Fukuoka Airport (FUK)
(Kindly note that I am unable to accommodate arrivals or departures at Kokura Station, Kitakyushu Airport/Port. )
Beyond the guiding highlights, I love connecting with my guests through engaging conversations. I am passionate about discussing sports, music, and current affairs, as well as movies and travel. Whether you prefer a deep dive into history or a casual, lively chat about the modern world, I tailor the experience to your interests.
I look forward to welcoming you and helping you create unforgettable memories in Japan.
Thank you.
