Taku

Taku

I passed the National Guide Interpreter Examination (English) and made my debut in 2015. The number of working days has been increasing yearly, with about 180 days before the pandemic and 190 days in 2023. I primarily guide in the Kansai area, including Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Kobe and Koyasan (Mount Koya), and can also guide in Hiroshima. I handle FITs, groups, and can accompany FAM trips.

My approach to work is seeing myself as a “coordinator who makes each day of the traveler’s journey special.” Our guests from far-off lands have limited time in Japan, and it’s our job to provide a day that meets their expectations, hoping they end the day thinking, “Ah, today was another good day.” Just as a course meal goes from appetizer to dessert, I aim not just to share knowledge of each destination but to offer a “course journey” of the day, ensuring guests enjoy Japan comfortably.
