The guests were a group visiting from Europe. As it was their first time in Japan, they had planned various experiences such as a tea ceremony. Since they were going to Asakusa and Tsukiji the following day, we covered Shibuya, Meiji Shrine, and Harajuku in four hours. Because it was an auspicious day on the Japanese calendar, they were delighted to be able to see a traditional shrine visit for newborns and a Shichi-Go-San ceremony at Meiji Shrine. Afterwards, we had lunch at a restaurant, and the rolled sushi was very popular with the group. We walked around Takeshita Street, looking at a pig cafe and a capybara cafe, and also stopped by a vintage shop. Since there were many shops that appealed to the group, I suggested that they come back again on their own, and we said goodbye. A notable stop on the tour was Meiji Shrine. Meiji Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in the heart of Tokyo, dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken. Surrounded by a tranquil forest of over 100,000 trees donated from across Japan, it offers a peaceful retreat from the bustling city. Visitors can often witness traditional ceremonies, seasonal rituals, and occasionally even Shinto weddings within its grounds.
