Title: What Is a Private Day Tour of Hakone Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Lake Ashi, Owakudani, and Hakone Shrine

The guests were visitors from North America. They were captivated by the mountain roads of Hakone, which were completely different from their home region, and we arrived at Motohakone Port. After introducing Shinto and Buddhism, shrines and temples, and the Japanese lifestyle, we strolled to the red torii gate of Hakone Shrine. At the same time, we enjoyed the view of Mount Fuji from the shore of Lake Ashi. The autumn foliage began to appear from the pirate ship, and at Owakudani we said farewell to a nearly faded Mount Fuji while eating black eggs. The Five Hundred Rakan statues at Choanji Temple had no crowds at all, creating a mystical and breathtaking atmosphere. We had lunch in a private room at a Japanese restaurant nearby, enjoying an atmosphere full of authentic Japanese charm, which brought our day to a pleasant close. A notable stop on the tour was Owakudani in Hakone. Owakudani is a volcanic valley created by the eruption of Mount Hakone thousands of years ago, where visitors can see steam vents and sulfurous hot springs rising from the ground. It is especially famous for its black eggs, which are boiled in the hot spring waters, turning their shells black, and are said to add years to one's life when eaten. On clear days, Owakudani also offers spectacular views of Mount Fuji, making it one of the most popular stops in the Hakone area.
