Title: What's a Private Day Tour of Kyoto Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Gion, Sushi, and Kinkaku-ji

The guests were visitors from North America. The originally planned visit to the Fushimi sake breweries had already been done by the guests themselves the day before, so they requested Gion instead, and I adjusted and changed the plan on the morning of the tour. They enjoyed shopping at various places, and I guided them to shops they wished to visit for items such as tea and kitchen knives. For lunch they requested sushi and enjoyed ordering a variety of toppings. Because we walked quite a lot and the temperature was high, they seemed a little tired toward the end. For that reason, after finishing at Kinkaku-ji, they returned to the Hotel by taxi. A notable stop on the tour was Kinkaku-ji Temple in Kyoto. Kinkaku-ji, also known as the Golden Pavilion, is a Zen Buddhist temple whose top two floors are completely covered in gold leaf. Originally built in the late 14th century as a retirement villa for a shogun, it was later converted into a temple and remains one of Kyoto's most iconic landmarks, beautifully reflected in the pond that surrounds it.
