Title: What's a Private Day Tour of Osaka and Sakai Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were a group from South America. In consideration of guests who had visited Osaka many times before, the original plan centered on Sakai City, which is adjacent to Osaka City, with minimal stairs and walking. However, due to bad weather on the day and a request from one of the guests, we first took the subway to the station nearest Osaka Castle, after which we chartered a taxi. In the rain, we took commemorative photos at Osaka Castle, then visited Shitennoji Temple, Shinsekai, had an udon lunch at Harukas, and toured a wide area including the Sakai Traditional Crafts Museum, the site of Sen no Rikyu's former residence, Namba Yasaka Shrine, and Dotonbori. Since the guests could also speak Japanese, they exchanged jokes with the driver during the drives, and it became a time full of smiles from beginning to end. Although their parents were from Hokkaido, the guests said Osaka was their favorite, and it turned into an enjoyable tour that met their expectations.

A notable stop on the tour was Osaka Castle. Osaka Castle is one of Japan's most famous landmarks, originally built in the late 16th century by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, one of the great unifiers of Japan. The castle's main tower stands out with its striking green roofs and gold detailing, surrounded by stone walls and moats. Today it houses a museum with exhibits on the history of the castle and the Toyotomi era, and the surrounding park is a popular spot for enjoying cherry blossoms in spring.
