- Travel to Kenrokuen / Kanazawa Shrine
- AM 10:15- 11:30 Visit Kinjo Reitaku and Kenrokuen from Kanazawa Shrine
- AM 11:30-PM 13:00 From Kanazawa Castle Park to Gyokusen'inmaru Garden
- PM 13:00-13:40 Matcha at Gyokusen-an, then to Oyama Shrine
- Travel to Omicho Market
- PM 13:50-14:10 Visit Omicho Market
- Travel to Higashi Chaya District
- PM 14:25- 15:00 Stroll through Higashi Chaya District, visit Utasu Shrine and Hakuza gold leaf shop

What Is a Private Car Tour of Kanazawa Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were visiting Japan from Europe. Since some of the guests found walking a little difficult, I planned the tour to minimize the strain on their feet as much as possible. The weather was on and off with occasional rain, but fortunately it did not rain while we were at Kenrokuen Garden or Kanazawa Castle, which was a relief. The guests wanted to try a matcha experience, so we stopped by Gyokusen-en Garden, and they seemed to really enjoy the rich, high-quality matcha. They did not plan to have lunch but wanted to visit Omicho Market as well, so we made a short stop there, and they enjoyed it. I guided them to a variety of places, and thanks to the tour being conducted by car, the guests did not get tired and were very pleased. A notable stop on the tour was Kenrokuen Garden. Kenrokuen is regarded as one of the three most beautiful landscape gardens in Japan, located in the heart of Kanazawa. It was developed over many years by the Maeda clan and features spacious grounds with ponds, streams, winding paths, and carefully arranged trees that showcase the beauty of each of the four seasons. The garden's name means "Garden of the Six Sublimities," referring to the six qualities considered essential to a perfect garden: spaciousness, seclusion, artificiality, antiquity, water sources, and broad views.

Thank you, Yoshi. A great introduction to understanding Tokyo — not only the trains (my biggest scare factor!) but the culture, the history, and the grounding we needed to navigate this amazing city with confidence.
My only regret… not asking more questions!
Seriously, book this tour on your second day after jetlag. It will help you navigate Tokyo so much more confidently and make the whole trip feel easier and richer.

Incredible tour, one of the highlights of my trip!
Booking a private tour with Hideharu (Yoshi) Yoshino was easily one of the absolute highlights of my trip.
Yoshi-san customized the day perfectly to my interests, accommodating a last-minute hotel change and timing our morning perfectly so we could see the spectacular Gion Matsuri parade without the heavy crowds.
We explored Ginkaku-ji, Nanzen-ji, and the traditional streets of Gion at a wonderful, relaxed pace.
The tour was fascinating and packed with interesting details that allowed me to truly understand Kyoto’s rich history.

A Well-Organized and Informative Tour of Kanazawa
We, a family of 5, had a very enjoyable 6-hour private tour of Kanazawa with Hideharu Yoshino from Japan Guide Agency.
Communication before the tour was excellent and made it very easy to plan the day. Yoshi’s English was excellent, which made communication throughout the tour very smooth. He provided very clear and interesting explanations, giving us a better understanding of the history and culture of the places we visited.
During the tour we explored Kanazawa Castle, Kenrokuen Garden, and the Geisha and Samurai districts.
It was a well-organized and informative tour. Highly recommended.

Our tea and culture day in Kanazawa with our guide Hideharu Yoshino was amazing! Yoshi is very fluent in English and a great companion to walk around with as he knows so much about the history and culture of Kanazawa and Japan. He also knew the best place to grab lunch and helped us pick what was good local fish, curry or tea to try. Plus he made sure we felt comfortable and never out of place wherever we went. I would recommend him for anyone who likes to know more about what they are seeing or what they can do in the area. Yoshi is great!
