What Is a Private Nagasaki Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Peace Park and Chinese Culture Sites

I met the guests at the Hotel at 9:00. We took the tram to Peace Park and walked to the Atomic Bomb Museum. After explaining the exhibits at the museum, we took the tram to Stadium South, then walked to the ropeway and went up Mount Inasa. At the observation deck I explained the view of the city, and then we took a bus to Chinatown for lunch. Since I had heard that the guests were interested in Chinese culture, we visited Sofukuji Temple and finally the Confucius Shrine. The guests came from Oceania and mentioned that they were more interested in the cultural exchange between China and Japan than in Western things. At the end, they told me they were satisfied to have been able to see Chinese culture. A notable stop on the tour was Mount Inasa, which offers one of the most celebrated night views in Japan. The observation deck at the summit provides a sweeping panorama of Nagasaki and its harbor, and it can be reached by ropeway. The mountain is a popular spot for visitors seeking scenic views of the city both during the day and after dark.
