Title: What Is a Private Hiroshima Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The tour had a slightly different, more casual atmosphere than usual, and it was enjoyable to guide in a friendly, relaxed way. Since I am studying Spanish, we spoke a little in Spanish during the day. As the guest was also studying Japanese, we used English as the main language while occasionally speaking in each other's native languages and enjoying a bit of a language exchange. At the Atomic Bomb Museum, I was asked how I felt about President Truman's statement on the atomic bomb, so I shared my personal opinion and perspective, making it clear that it was only my own view. The guest also enjoyed the stadium city area, coming from a place where soccer is popular. A notable stop on the tour was the Atomic Bomb Museum in Hiroshima. Located within the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, the museum documents the events of August 6, 1945, when the city was struck by an atomic bomb. Its exhibits include personal belongings of victims, photographs, and testimonies that convey the human impact of the bombing. The museum serves as a place for reflection on peace and the consequences of nuclear weapons, and it draws visitors from around the world each year.

Hello, I’m Rikako, but please call me Coco. It would be my absolute pleasure to show you around my hometown of Nagasaki. Having performed in the Nagasaki Kunchi Festival in my childhood, I developed a deep interest in history and cultural exchange. This motivated me to become a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter during my university years. Since then, I have gained valuable experience—from assisting ambassadors at the Nagasaki Peace Memorial Ceremony to handling a wide variety of tours, including private and coach tours, site inspections, international conference support, and VIP hospitality.
Explaining about Nagasaki’s history and culture is the most important to me. It is not only about this. I would love to provide genuine care so that your time in Nagasaki remains in your heart forever.
I’m truly looking forward to guiding you in Nagasaki 🙂
