Title: What Can You See on a 4-Hour Private Tour of Kanazawa? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were visitors from Europe. When covering all the requested destinations specified by the local travel agency within a 4-hour tour, I introduced recommended spots in Higashi Chaya District and suggested that, if the guests were interested, they could visit again in the afternoon. By managing the schedule this way, I was able to guide them through the Nagamachi Samurai District area within the time limit, and I believe they still enjoyed it very much. I also introduced a department store food hall located along the tour route where they could have lunch, and the tour concluded there.

A notable stop on the tour was the Nagamachi Samurai District in Kanazawa. This historic area preserves the earthen-walled lanes and residences once inhabited by samurai during the Edo period. Visitors can stroll along its narrow streets, admire the traditional architecture, and get a sense of the lifestyle of the warrior class. Some of the former residences are open to the public, allowing guests to see the interiors, gardens, and artifacts that reflect the culture and daily life of the era. The Higashi Chaya District, another highlight of the area, is one of Kanazawa's well-preserved teahouse districts, known for its elegant wooden buildings, gold-leaf crafts, and traditional atmosphere that make it a popular destination for those interested in Japanese history and culture.
